Rain Drops

As I am about to embark on this journey I have to keep telling myself that God has ALL the details worked out.  I get stressed, sucked dry spiritually, and flooded with doubts when I stop reminding myself that God is in control.  I guess that's why it's so important to stay in the Word everyday.  It gives us the confidence and boldness to move forward on His promises.

Back to the details part.  Our God is such a detail oriented God.  We've all heard that He has names for all the stars and has each of our hairs numbered.  But how about this one:  He knows where EACH rain drop is going to fall BEFORE the cumulonimbus is in the sky!  I thought about that tonight as the rain drops were hitting my window.  Somehow I find that a bit more impressive than the hairs on my head.  (Especially as it's thinning :)  I guess it's probably the weatherman in me too though.

  1. G- I simply love where the Lord took you with this picture of His omniscience. That is deep stuff. I love it when our minds have to expand beyond our understanding. who would have thought life could be like this! I, for one, didn't! A true and tangible relationship with the God of Creation and a Spirit that leads us into all Truth. I am further amazed by God, encouraged and thankful that I have been an observer of the relationship unfold further in your life. Bring on the rain!!

  2. Grant, it is amazing how God uses strangers to reveal our own strengths and weaknesses in our walk with Him. I believe it is all part of the "permanent construction" that we are under as Christians. What have I learned today reading this.....that I don't ever want to be content in the Lord, as I should strive to seek more of Him continually, until we get home and can enjoy our inheritance that He has so richly blessed us with. Reading about the rain above, well, it reminds me that His grace continually cleanses us and refreshes those who seek Him first. What would we do without Him? (and to think of those who do not know Him....Praise the Lord for you answering His calling)!! Let's continue to move forward in His promises, and pray for each other on the journey, as we are called to do. Amen.
